How warm does the city feel?

The Heat Atlas provides a city-wide overview of heat stress in Dortmund. You can choose between three climate indicators: the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI), relative humidity, and air temperature.

For UTCI, you can switch between a health-based heat stress map (heat stress categories) and a temperature map showing the perceived temperature in degrees Celsius (temperature in °C). A color scale and legend help to interpret the values.

These maps are based on modeled calculations derived from measured station data. The most recent available values within a four-hour time window are included. For more precise analyses, we recommend using the direct measurements from the stations.
